Sberbank CIB, the corporate and investment banking business of Sberbank, today announces the completion of a package deal to finance Mcapital Group. The package includes provision of mezzanine financing with the Merchant Banking & Advisory Department taking a 25% share in the capital of the holding company’s assets (regional shopping centres), and refinancing the Group’s current loans.
The project amounts to a total of RUB 45 bln. The mezzanine component – RUB 20 bln – has optimised the legal and debt structure of the group. The refinancing component – RUB 25 bln – enables Sberbank to maintain its share in the company’s loan portfolio.
