Sberbank ÑIB1, the corporate and investment banking business of Sberbank, has won a Global Finance Award in the category Best Investment Bank.
The review of submissions for the award included criteria such as market share, number and size of deals and other services, distribution network, staff dedicated to investment banking, innovation in financing, competitive pricing, after-market performance of underwritten securities, and reputation.
“Although we value being recognised by the professional community, our clients’ praise is most important to us,” commented Senior Vice President and Head of Sberbank CIB Igor Bulantsev. “Our main focus is not only consistent development of leading-class financial and banking services, but also investment banking operations involving cutting-edge digital and technological innovations in order to provide as many opportunities as possible to Sberbank CIB clients.”
Global Finance Awards were founded by Global Finance Magazine 25 years ago. They are among of the most prestigious international accolades in the banking and financial sectors. The awards are conferred following a review carried out by an international panel, which looks at key financials, market research and voting among analysts and market players, CEOs and CFOs of financial service sector companies, and subscribers to Global Finance Magazine.
The winners of Global Finance Awards are selected among financial organisations from more than 150 countries in Africa, the Asia Pacific Region, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and Western Europe.
Over the years Sberbank has won a number of awards from Global Finance across a range of categories. In 2017, the bank won two categories: Sberbank was recognised as the Best Bank Russia and Sberbank CIB was named the Best Equity Bank Central & Eastern Europe 2017.
