Sberbank’s stand at the SPIEF has been visited by Chinese bankers who are part of the Russian-Chinese Financial Council (RCFC).
The head of the Chinese delegation, Chairman of the Board of Harbin Bank Guo Zhiwen noted the vital role played by the RCFC in strengthening the partnerships between China’s regional banks and Sberbank. Senior Vice President and Head of Sberbank CIB1 Igor Bulantsev said that the RCFC is an important initiative for Sberbank and expressed confidence in its continuing contribution to meaningful cooperation.
“China has a large and active delegation at the SPIEF and the forum is an illustration of the strengthening of partnerships between Russia and China,” said Mr Bulantsev. “As a result, Chinese businesspeople are becoming more interested in our financial and tech products, including at a regional level.”
Sberbank CIB’s experts told their Chinese guests about the prospects of cooperating in trade finance and investment opportunities, and presented the Sberbank Markets electronic trading system and Finline, the remote banking system for financial institutions.
The Russian-Chinese Financial Council is a platform for establishing links and developing cooperation in the financial and banking sector between Sberbank and regional financial institutions in Russia and China. It was founded in 2014 by Sberbank and Harbin Bank.
